Initial Consultation - menopause/period control/contraception

A relaxed and in-depth session where we explore your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle, and goals. Together, we’ll start building a plan that feels right for you. If needed, I can prescribe treatments or refer you on.

If you are started on medication we require you to have a follow up appointment at 3 months to review how you are getting on and make any dose adjustments if needed.
After the 3 month review we can transfer your ongoing care to your GP or continue to provide support with annual reviews and repeat prescriptions if that is what you prefer.

A check-in to see how you're doing, review the effectiveness of your medication and adjust your treatment plan as needed.

Annual review

Duration: 40 minutes
Annual reviews are necessary to assess how effective your treatment is, and to ensure there are no changes in your medical history that would mean we need to make changes.

Consultation for coil fitting/replacement/removal

Duration: 40 minutes
This is a telephone or in-clinic consultation to have an intrauterine coil fitted or replaced, or to have your existing coil removed without replacing it.
If you decide to go ahead you will be given an appointment for the procedure and the consultation fee will be credited toward the overall cost of your coil procedure.
Consultation for implant fitting/replacement/removal

Duration: 30 minutes This is a telephone or in-clinic consultation for a new or replacement contraceptive implant, or to get your existing implant removed without replacing it.
If you decide to go ahead you will be given an appointment for the procedure and the consultation fee will be credited toward the overall cost of your implant procedure.
Consultation for the contraceptive injection (Depo Provera)

Duration: 20 minutes
This is a telephone or in-clinic consultation for the Depo Provera contraceptive injection.

This is an initial consultation for vaginal and/or uterine prolapse

Ring Pessary Fitting/Change £100
Duration: 30 minutes
This is an appointment to fit your first ring pessary, or to follow up if you already have a pessary fitted - current guidance recommends that pessaries are checked every 6 months if you don’t do it yourself.
Includes a prescription for ongoing vaginal health medication.
Injection appointment

Duration: 15 minutes
Administration of a medicine as pre-approved by your clinician at Maia Vitality (i.e via a Depo consultation or advice call)
Cervical Screening (Smear Test)

Duration: 30 minutes
Includes a private cervical screening with time to discuss any concerns or questions. Results sent directly to you with follow-up support as needed. Laboratory costs included.
Blood test

Duration: 15 minutes
Blood test sample taking fee - lab costs are extra depending on what tests you choose (payable to the lab).
You only pay the sampling fee once, regardless of how many tests you choose, as long as they are taken in the same appointment.
